Chapter One
Concept · Current read, who's on what chapter, next meeting's venue and a lending log of who has the paperback.

01 · Chapter One
The problem
Book clubs drift when WhatsApp replaces conversation. 'What chapter are we meant to be on?' and 'whose house are we at?' recur every month. The one person with the spare copy has lost it down the back of the sofa.
What we built
Chapter One is the book club's calm shelf on the web. One link shows the current read with a progress bar per member, the next meeting's venue and RSVPs, discussion threads per chapter with proper spoiler tags, and who has the club's spare paperback. A bookshelf of books read stores ratings and any notable quotes for the end-of-year round-up.
What it does
Features, no fluff.
This month's read — cover, blurb, progress bar per member (chapter-by-chapter)
Next meeting — date, venue, who's hosting, RSVPs
Chapter threads — discussion pinned to each chapter; spoilers auto-hidden
Lending log — who has the club's spare paperback, when it came back
Bookshelf — everything read, star ratings, quotable lines
End-of-year round-up — best-of votes, reading stats per member
